The RPET process conserves natural resources and saves money,
eliminating several processes and by-products of traditional polyester
production, including crude oil wellhead, XylenesParaxylene, crude oil
refiner, TA & MEG and Naptha.
Manufacturing process of RPET Fabric
- Post-Consumer PET bottles are collected and sorted
- Plastic is washed and broken down
- Renew Fibers are made from extrusion of plastic
- Renew Fibers are weaved into yarn
- Yarn is turned into fabric; used to produce uniforms and merchandise
RPET Major Industry Use
Major Industries have already activated RPET programs:
Renew Fibers are Certified Post Consumer PET:
Intertek’s R-PET Management System Certification (MSC) enables manufacturers of R-PET products to prove their abilities to manufacture these products, and inspects for appropriate sourcing, production and tracing methods.Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) provides Recycled Content certification for a wide variety of products in accordance with U.S. Federal Trade Commission to help manufacturers make credible claims about their products.
The Environment and Development Foundation (“EDF”) works and cooperates closely with domestic and overseas environmental groups in pursuing environmental initiatives.
Our Manufacturing
As a leading manufacturer of Recycled PET Plastic (RPET) fibers, Renew provides a recycled alternative to traditional apparel. All Renew products are made from Certified Post-Consumer PET.
Renew Merchandise achieves total vertical manufacturing by processing its own RPET pellets and spinning its own filament, yarn and fabric.
Renew offer two solutions for manufacturing your merchandise using Renew Fibers:
Closed Loop Manufacturing:
Follow the waste stream from the collection at a specific venue or event and process the material at a local certified Recycling Center resulting in Certified Post Consumer and measurable number of PET bottles in each garment.
Waste Diversion Management:
Procure flakes directly from Recycling Centers around the world resulting in Certified Post Consumer and measurable number of PET bottles per garment.
